Separate rope drive

The separate rope drive is used to create an independent circuit as part of a section of the paper machine. This allows the string system to run at low speed during the production period and at full speed when the tail is loaded. All the cylinders of the new circuit must be fitted with idler pulleys.

The separate rope drive includes a large rubberized pulley to ensure rope grip, input / output pulleys and a geared motor with power calculated on a case-by-case basis depending on the sections to be trained.

This independent system isolates a polluting part (usually the Size-press), maximizes the life of ropes and pulleys and also increases the safety of machine operators.
